Martha’s Lucky Charmers proved lucky indeed, as they landed this amazing 117 inch giant bluefin aboard Tuna Hunter Fishing Charters last weekend.
Kudos to all anglers – Martha, Patty, Al and Charlie, who expertly handled this long bluefin tuna throughout the 4 hour battle. Al and Charlie had particularly long circling session with our girl, as she was having nothing to do with either of them, nor with mate “Lars-ceny” standing ready with the harpoon. So close … yet so far, she’d come close and eyeball us, then flick her tail and be off. (That’s the 2nd harpoon in the foreground – the first was ready in hand.)
And oh what a good feeling it is when she’s tail-wrapped!
The best news is, Martha brings us another lucky crew for the Gloucester Bluefin Blowout Tournament coming up August 1st – August 3rd. Odds are with Martha on board we’ll break the shutout. Good luck to all.
More Gloucester bluefin tuna are being landed every day – call Tuna Hunter for our latest August and September opening. This is shaping up to be an old-fashioned giant bluefin tuna season with more bigger fatter tuna as the season wears on.
This Russian family had a great day of cod and haddock fishing aboard the Tuna Hunter. The kids more than did their share hauling in good-sized cod. Action was steady, with larger fish arriving in the afternoon. This same gang is tuna fishing today!
To reserve your cod and haddock fishing charter, call us at 978-407-1351 or email email@example.com. We look forward to fishing with you!
The Lucky Charmers prove that all that’s needed for successful bluefin tuna fishing is a lot of luck and some charm. They claim Dave and Gary of Tuna Hunter Fishing Charters had the charm – they of course had the luck to hook and land this beautiful 750lb giant bluefin tuna out of Gloucester, MA.
Great work for a team that had not fished for bluefin tuna before. They didn’t realize at the time how lucky there were – they broke the northeast tuna dry spell and started a 3-day streak for Tuna Hunter. w/e look forward to fishing with this crew again.
The Tuna Hunter difference is knowing bluefin tuna and knowing the waters off of Cape Ann and beyond. Captain Gary has it in his bones – they don’t call him Tuna Hunter for nothing.
Call 978-407-1351 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to join us through September and October.
We can’t quite believe it has been 13 years – for Tuna Hunter it has been a pleasure to host the annual Nivens family summer Bass Bash. Striped Bass fishing this season has taken a return to the days of fishing along the rocks and shores of Gloucester and Rockport coast and islands.
These seasoned anglers boated their limit early and enjoyed tag and release fishing for the remainder of the day. Striped bass action is fine this year – great family or corporate fun for all ages.
